There is a double sided mentality with Filippino’s when it comes to this problem.
When a foreigner in The Philippines get caught for overstaying, he will be put in a detention cel, and not simply given an order to leave the country as the lady in the article. The guys of the Immigration office call it victory when they can catch 1(one) foreigner for overstaying, and sometimes even get the frontpage or television. Please be noted that for every foreigner in that detention center in Manila; WICH IS THE WORST PLACE YOU CAN IMAGINE; there are at least 10.000 Filippino’s overstaying abroad. These foreigners do not get any help or medical treatment at all. So to all those overstaying Fillippino’s in EUROPE, please tell your Government to threat foreigners in The Philippines on a equal basis and not like criminals as they do at this moment.
