The Filipino Expat Magazine runs two types of content: magazine and blog. We publish the magazine bimonthly both in print and online version. The magazine features in-depth articles on different aspects of an expatriates’ life as well as focus on specific countries in Europe.

The blog features short, compact articles on the same subjects as well resources and directories of Filipino organizations, event, products and services all over Europe.

Both type are open for freelancers. We are also looking for regular contributors and columnists.

What we are looking for – Magazine

To get an idea of our voice and style, please download the magazine here.

All articles and photos must adhere to our specific style. We are looking for high quality articles that are well written and well researched with accompanying high-resolution photos. Articles with grammatical errors will not be considered.

Pitches and full articles are welcome but we do not guarantee publication. We will let you know when your article will be published.

Articles should have the audience in mind: Filipino expatriates living, working, or studying in Europe.


Depending on quality and number of accompanying photos, we pay between €15-€20 per article.

Payments are made 30 days after publication.

All payments are made via Paypal.

What are looking for – Blog

To get an idea of our voice and style, kindly browse through our blog posts in the website.

We are looking for high quality, short and compact articles on the different aspects of expatriates’
life. Please see categories for specific contents.

Articles for the blog must be between 300-500 words and preferably with accompanying photos although not required.

Articles must be well researched and well written.

Articles should have the audience in mind: Filipino expatriates living, working
or studying in Europe.

We do not guarantee publication of all blog articles sent to us but we will let you know if your article
will be published.

We do not publish articles already posted on other blogs.


As of this moment, we do not pay for blog content but if your article is good, we can consider publishing
it for the magazine.

We will, however, provide trackback and link to your personal blog, companies, business, etc. as well as a short author’s information.
